ABOUT MOOSE PIE SKETCH COMEDY GROUP...
Consisting of five very funny and very creative people from upstate New York, Moose Pie Sketch Comedy - known collectively as "Moosers" - is made up of an eclectic group of Improvisational performers, Stand-up comedians, Authors, Writers, Teachers, Actors, Directors, Filmmakers, Professional Speakers, Columnists, and Artists. Moose Pie began as a small sketch comedy off-shoot of The Puzzled Players Comedy Improv Theater under the direction of Puzzled Player John Carey, Eileen Hanrahan, John Montgomery, and Matt Papkov, under the former name Gesundheit. The sketch group was stage-born the night of The Puzzled Players' Third Anniversary show in January 2006 at the Tioga Trails Cafe.  Shortly after their debut performance, the group added Puzzled Player Joe Falank and actor Dave Merrell. The new group changed the name to Moose Pie.

Moose Pie has performed as the opening act for The Puzzled Players, and has also performed shows of its own, including two full-length stage shows! Moose Pie's first show was a sell out at The Puzzled Players' Theater. Their second show was a special December 31st dinner/theater performance at their birthplace - the Tioga Trails Cafe -  for "A New Year's Night with Moose Pie." Moose Pie prides itself on not only performing comedy at theaters, but also performing at numerous benefits, including the annual Elk's Club Fundraiser; as well as a benefit for Mike Ziemba, a quadriplegic actor who needed a new van; and a fundraiser for Miranda Benardes, a thirteen-year-old stricken with Hodgekins Disease.

In January 2009 Moose Pie welcomed newcomer Bonnie DeForest, a professional stage actor and director.
